We have other thoughts and feeling which reside within us and are completely independent of you. It may surprise you but personal integrity in the sense of wholeness is a large part of a man’s honour. Paul trust me this is NOT an attempt to suck up to you, but I’m in agreement. In fact if I was the only thing in my man’s life then he’d lead a pretty sheltered existance and wouldn’t be interesting. I believe a real man is an authentic man, and authenticity includes integrity. Authentic men don’t test their relationships by provoking jealousy because they don’t have to. If he was with a woman who did this as strategy I have doubts the relationship would last very long. I do find the article Bhetti quotes interesting, but I have a hard time believing jealousy is beneficial. What’s also clear in the scenario quoted above is that the relationship was failing and had to be radically redeemed: presumably the woman knew her husband, the nature of their relationship and what would suit the situation.
